The Bilateral Ethiopian-Netherlands Effort for Food, Income and Trade Partnership - BENEFIT Partnership - aims for improved sustainable food, income and trade among rural households in Ethiopia, and it unites 4 programmes which Sesame Business Network (SBN) is one of them.

Coordinated by Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation (CDI), BENEFIT SBN is a network owned and maintained by the stakeholders of the sesame agribusiness sector in north-west Ethiopia themselves.

In the four years period (2016-2019), BENEFIT-SBN provides different services and facilities that help stakeholders to work together to realize their individual and common economic objectives. Hence, the project organises its work in four complementary ways: Innovation development, Capacity development, Scaling and Network, and Policy development.
