ENTAG stands for Ethiopia Netherlands Trade Facility and aims to deliver hands-on business support services to local and foreign entrepreneurs. The project was initiated early 2013 semi-autonomously within the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce that acts as the host of the facility. The Netherlands Embassy in Addis Ababa is actively working together with the chamber and co-finances the ENTAG.

In line with the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP) of the Ethiopian government, the project works towards achieving food security by encouraging agricultural commercialisation, foreign direct investment and private sector development.

The ENTAG has three goals: attract foreign direct investment in Ethiopia’s agribusiness sector, increase the number of new domestic companies and increase trade between Ethiopia and high-value markets. To achieve these, the project concentrates on five components: improve information and knowledge for the agribusiness community, facilitate business to business through subsector platforms, assist entrepreneurs in setting up new businesses, engage young entrepreneurs in internship programmes and support private sector associations.
